DEVICE DESCRIPTION
Horizons International Corp Microbiology Brushes are housed in a clear Teflon catheter within another opaque Teflon catheter. A non-toxic, water-soluble wax-like plug seals the end of the outer catheter.
Following insertion, the plug is expelled into the lung, where it quickly and safely dissolves. The captivated brush can pass through contaminated areas to obtain sterile specimens.
