HIC is a worldwide medical device company that brings to the market innovative, minimally invasive devices, to improve the detection of cancerous growths and disease. We design, develop, manufacture, sterilize, commercialize and distribute products that target gastroenterology and pulmonary diseases.

HIC devices aid in the identification and detection of the following conditions, amongst others:

-Malignant and benign growths in the stomach, colon, and lungs.

HIC has dedicated itself to design devices that are not only minimally invasive, but assure the samples and biopsies captured are retrieved in one single pass.

HIC devices and instruments are designed to assure providers the proper retention of gathered samples for proper diagnostic testing. A lost sample or biopsy is a lost opportunity for an accurate and timely diagnosis, which could represent a saved life.

HIC is a privately held corporation established in 1994. Manufacturing facilities are located in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Our History

Horizons International Corp. was established in 1994.

Over 20 years, HIC has built proprietary knowledge in Gastroenterology and Pulmonary fields, positioning HIC as a global medical device company.

HIC collaborates with physicians to treat and detect diseases using minimally invasive novel devices. Our manufacturing facilities are located in Heredia, Costa Rica.

HIC strives to lead in green manufacturing and design processes, reducing our environmental footprint.

Since November 2005, we have exclusively used hydroelectric power to manufacture all our devices and continue to expand our sustainable initiatives.
